Intercom for 1200
Hey guys I am gonna get a y-cord from Carl for my intercom. But what model J&M headset should I get for My wife and I full face bell helmet. JM HS ECD629 UN HO or JM HS BCD 279 UN HO ? I don't see the difference. Maybe I should call them. I cant wait to get on the road next spring and ride. Gonna get the right igniter and other things from carl. He even called me personally about stuff for my bike. It seems everyone on here is very nice and trustworthy. That's the way us bikers should be. Thank you for any help. Lance McCaw, Aledo IL

Re: Intercom for 1200
Lance, I've checked the Sierra Electronics site {where I've bought two sets of them} and form what I can see the ECD629 model has a newer mic and speakers. BCD279 has - AeroMike® III miniature boom microphone while the ECD629 has - AeroMike® V microphone, along with the ultra-slim helmet speakers.
Check out several sites/sellers and look closely at the descriptions. Compare a few if you can to be sure you get what you are looking for.
Personally I prefer the thinner speakers as they don't apply extra pressure on my ears (I've got a set of wing nuts on my Mellon)!
