For those of us who do not have the luxury of a mill in our garage/workshop,a piece of 5/8 water pipe(7/8 OD) and a 1 " chrome towel bar cut to length ,should give strength and a nice finish.

I just got a set of the ones SgtSlag was talking about, They were well made and worked good so far. The short cut is in his post.

Kehoffman, I used the Emgo floorboards, for the brace I got a machine shop to cut a 1" aluminum round stock 22" long down to 7/8" on the ends. I left the center at 19", I had to bend the crash guards just a little in to get them to line up. I put a straight edge on the crash bars to make sure they were lined up, they weren't. Check yours before you get the 19" measurement. Will get a picture for you.

I drilled a hole, tapped it for 5/16" SS bolt. The bar is 1" aluminum round stock, 22" lone cut down to 7/8" on each end, center is 19 " after making sour the crash bars are straight, I had to bend mine a little they where not straight.

Hope this comes out, still learning.

Hi everyone,
The OO of the crash bars is 1 inch. If I get 1inch clamps to mount
My Led running lights to the crash bars will they tighten up enough
Or should I get 7/8 clamps?

The 1" clamps will work fine. That is what I got for my LED's, and there has never been an issue with them being loose. I like my clamps tight, and secure, and that was quite easy to do.

However, if you find them too loose, cut an old rubber inner tube into appropriate sized strips, and insert them inside your clamps. Not only will they fill the small gap, but they will also prevent the metal clamps from marking the bars they clamp around. Did that with mine, no scratches on the bars when I removed the clamps, and everything is right and tight. Cheers!

Running Lights which just came in the mail today. Got them from E. Bay.
