Intercomm almost/always activated

I have the Kawasaki helmet intercom system. The wife and I both have 3/4 helmets. I found on our first outing together that it seemed to be active most of the time. Like one of the mics was picking up too much noise and wouldnt stop transmitting even though we weren't talking. Has anyone else had this issue?

Set your vox levels. I have mine Set to where you have to be loud at first to get the vox to activate and then you can talk normal

Would that be for both rider and passenger? And how do you do it?

There is a vox setting in the radio. Haven't touched mine in a couple years, but it is fully described in the manual.

David, I set the VOX setting and volume for my headset. I know everyone is different. Is it that the higher the setting on VOX the less sensitive it is? What do you run your intercomm and vox settings at respectively?
