Tires make a difference

A week ago I purchased a used 2011 Kawasaki Voyager that had 8800 miles on it. The thing was filthy and the tires were shot. I wasn't sure I wanted to ride it the 175 miles home but made it home. Ordered tires and began the process of cleaning - changing oil and air filter. Oh, there was a mouse nest in the air cleaner cover with little baby mice that had recently died. Maybe on the way home!!! I got the bike at a great price and I know how to clean up bikes. Tires came so today I put an Elite 3 on the front and an American Elite 180 tire on the rear. Wow, what a difference? The bike handles like a dream and I'm excited!!!

The guy never took the stickers off the bike - and I got the tank badge off okay - but the saddlebags were a different story. I tried everything and decided to order a decal eraser from the local parts store. The manager talked me into trying a decal remover spray saying it wouldn't harm the paint. Well, the sticker stayed and the paint around it got eaten up!!! The parts store is painting my saddlebag lids!!

Anyway - I was a member a few years ago as I had a 2010 Voyager. Got rid of it because I didn't like the engine heat. I got this bike cheap enough I thought I might try it again!! Might try Engine Ice this time around.....

Hey Nubie,
So nice to have you back in the fold. Don't remember when you left but a few things have changes as of a couple years ago. We have new management so to speak. Hope you find things as good as ever.
