Turn Signal Cancel
Is there a way to disable the automatic turn signal canceler? I want to turn them on AND off manually! Is there a wire to unplug?
Many thanks! Take care, RD

Re: Turn Signal Cancel
You have what a lot of owners would like to have: a working turn signal cancel system. However, if you wish to disconnect it there is a connector on a short harness coming from the actual turn signal cancel unit which can be disconnected from the main harness connector. The turn signal cancel unit is located behind the LH upper cowling, stacked with the reserve lighting device. There is a youtube video by Igozum, ( I believe that is the name ), about removing the cowling(fairing) that may be of some help to you.

Re: Turn Signal Cancel
Can't you just turn them off manually even when they're still in automatic mode?

Re: Turn Signal Cancel
Thanks for the helpful info. I'll be checking into doing the disconnect.
Yes, the signal can be shut-off manually. But my problem is it shuts-off too soon. I turn it on when I want it on and it shuts-off before I get to the turn. I want to have control when it's on and off.
Thanks for the replies! Take care, RD

Re: Turn Signal Cancel
Ahh, makes sense. On my ZN1300, there's a switch to disable the automatic cancel.

Re: Turn Signal Cancel
I'm not wanting to get out of the habit of canceling the signal myself, so when I ride a non-automatic canceler (like my KLR), I won't be so likely to forget to cancel the signal.

Thanks! That'd be great for those wanting self canceling signals. But I want myself canceling signals.

Re: Turn Signal Cancel
If you extend the blinker time you get to cancel yourself.

Re: Turn Signal Cancel
The way the cancel system works is when you engage the turn signal a signal is sent to the cancel control box, the box counts four seconds then it switches over to the speedometer at that point it is now counting distance I think around 50 ft.
The turn signal cancel extender delays the signal to the cancel control from 1 to 5 sec. and it totally plug and play.
They are $25.00 + $7.00 shipping
