Hi, after trying to balance the carbs and getting to running right I am still short of this goal. It’s a bit smelly from the rear, exhaust gas wise, I don’t think I have mastered the balancer. Yet. Can you guys confirm the the two turns out on the pilot jet, the one under neath the carb. It sort of runs fine, but I still get a pop or two when slowing on the engine....
Also I have blue and yellow connector block empty behind the instrument housing. I can see the bit on the wiring diagram but can’t work out what it’s for....any idea...
Lastly. The battery light stays on, I have disconnected the green wire, earthed and put to positive to no avail? Combined with the oil pressure light on....and the fuel reserve light on....even when I have have it full, the sweeping gauge works fine....common earth issue maybe? Measured oil when I refilled it...oabout half way through sight glass....is this why it’s on?
Anyway thanks again for your knowledge and support.
Andy

Re: Exhaust smell
The plastic connector with the Y and Bl coloured wires goes to the radio. It signals the radio as to speed so that the radio can either increase or decrease the speaker volume level according to the vehicle speed.
2 turns on the pilot air screw is the factory setting.
Oil level has no relationship to the Battery light being on. Sorry but I haven't come across the battery light problem you have encountered. I'm sure others have and may post some suggestions.

Re: Exhaust smell
For oil changes, with a new filter, use 3 quarts and 22 ounces. Forget the sight glass -- worthless.
Not sure on the other things. Sorry. Cheers!

Re: Exhaust smell
I think it must a electrical earth issue, thanks for the other advice. I’ll ignore the blue n yellow wire. I’ll have a check of the wiring diagram etc and remove the fuel garage sender unit and check. Ta.
