Source for stainless brake lines for an '86 XII?

I note that Galfer's start with '87 and mine is an '86. Also opinions on keeping the line splitter vs a dual line banjo bolt install?

Contact HMB Don on this site. I'm not aware of any differences between the '86 & newer models when it comes to brakes. Some people have trouble bleeding the front brakes with the factory setup. Perhaps the dual line eliminates this issue. The dual line banjo setup doesn't look nice IMHO.

Speed Bleeders make it super-easy. They contain a one-way valve: open them, and then fill the reservoir, on top, with fresh brake fluid; pump the lever until you get a steady stream of fresh fluid out the valve, at the calipers.

Otherwise, you can reverse bleed, pumping fluid up, from the calipers, to fill the reservoir. Google it for instructions, and tools. This technique pushes the air bubbles up the line, which is the way they naturally want to go -- you will not be attempting to force the air bubbles to move downwards, as is typical (Speed Bleeders have worked for me, but I see the advantages to reverse bleeding). I actually have a bunch of Speed Bleeders, just have not gotten around to installing them. HMB Don's set for brakes and clutch are still available at $210, so I'll have to save up for a set.

When you are ready to start bleeding the system Make Sure You Cover The Fairing with a brake fluid resistant cover!
The fairing hates brake fluid and you will probably spill some.

I put the stainless lines on a couple years ago,and noticed a huge improvement in the brake feel!
