Re: lights and gauges out
if the dash is all that is affected check the oil pressure sender on the side of the oil pan. if it is damaged it will kill the circuit. best way to check is to take the wire off the sender and see if the lights are restored.

Re: lights and gauges out
if the headlight is also out, check the white multi-plug under the left upper fairing, it is a 10 wire plug. this plug sometimes gets nasty and needs cleaning. wire brush on the connectors and some dielectric grease should restore your lights..

My name is Jeferson from South Brazil, the last user from 2014 ... i have a Voyager 95 and have the same problem. The meter, head ligth and break, do no light more. We check the wires, connectors, relays, but dont tur on and we believe that be IC Igniter..

Re: lights and gauges out
the IC igniter can not cause this problem, check the white multi-wire plug under the left hand fairing, this is the fault almost every time....

Carl is a not-too-bad source for repairs. He's only been wrong once. That was when he thought he'd made a mistake but in reality he hadn't.

Re: lights and gauges out
I am having the same issue.
Checked the white plug, all good.
But I did develop a bad oil leak and someone mentioned oil sender or something wire.
Its covered in oil but not burned.
Do I cut this wire to get me home?
Im stranded.
