Help identifying part (trunk mount)
Over the weekend I hit a nasty bump while riding 2up. Both white plastic trunk mounts broke. I probably over tightened them the last time I had my trunk off or is it normal for these to break?
I am trying to order a new pair of mounts but can't find them on the schematic, does anybody know what they are called?

The white plastic items are known as "Guide" and have the part # of 13070-1149

Re: Help identifying part (trunk mount)
I don't think it's normal. I don't think you can over tighten the Phillips head screw with the steel spacer in there. I cracked a trunk in an unfortunate series of events years back, but those pieces didn't break. I have trunk extenders which I think would make those stresses even worse.
I'd say you have the right pieces circled in the diagram, but what are the long bolts in the picture for? I only remember 2 -12mm (socket size) bolts at the back of the trunk and the 2 Phillips at the front. Trunk extenders make it a little different, but I just don't recall those longer bolts. The 2 hex bolts at the back of the trunk aren't that long.
Anyways, if you have trouble landing a new set, I have an old set off the '98 I have no use for. They look to still be available and cheap if they are the right parts.

Check with Gene Kap (ekap1200) I think he makes replacements for them. Probably stainless steel and durable as hell.

Re: Help identifying part (trunk mount)
the two acorn nuts with both the lock and flat washers are for the shocks. the two longer bolts are more that likely to the rear trunk support frame. Toss the phillips head screws and those inserts. I use two fender/washers , two 1/4-20 bolts INSTALLED from the underside up thru the trunk and two nuts and washers inside the trunk. You posted you broke them , but your picture shows me that they are not ?
If behind those two phillips are a sleeve that passes thru, and protrudes past it won't secure the trunk.

Re: Help identifying part (trunk mount)
If I remember correctly, wasn't it Chevyman who was making and installing those trunk extenders? When he installed mine at a rally, he kept all my OEM parts. I would wager, he would have whatever is needed to get you fixed up.

Re: Help identifying part (trunk mount)
Consider contacting Duane Ash, former president of the AVA. He knows everything you may need to know about the 1200 Voyager. He also made many trunk extenders over the years. Not sure he is still with the AVA but he can be reached at 208 746-3530. I am sure he can help and will be most willing.
