Hello Everyone!
My 87 is running, and I want to keep it that way. My original post I simply found my carbs were no good. A new set brought her back to life.
However, I am nervous about the 1179 ignitor, my 87 has one. I've read there was a recall on it. It's been 34 years and it was never serviced for it. I am not sure if there was a recall because my VIN is pulling nothing on it.
If there was a recall has anyone been able to get it serviced recently? These are getting harder to find at a good price.
Thanks, ride safe!

Re: 1179 Ignitor Questions
You need to replace it. I'd start with Carl Leo (https://www.amervoyassoc.org/osclass/florida-r782051). Put a crowbar in your wallet because this is important.
