Where to buy Stainless braided lines?

Post by KPAX »

My Voyager is a 2003, the brake line date codes are 09/02. They are getting a bit old and want to replace them. The brakes work well, no issues but when I looked inside reservoir (removed the lid) I noticed that there is a bit of icky crud. It actually looks like dried up brake fluid sticking to the bottom of the reservoir. I am hoping I can get away with new lines, new fluid and cleaning the exposed potion of the pistons with a toothbrush and soap/water.

I want to buy new SS lines for the front (I have a three line system), is there a preferred manufacturer? Where is everyone buying their SS lines and banjo bolt washers from?

Is there a preferred pad that works well with these bikes?

Thanks

You're in Ontario... there's a guy in Toronto that makes very good SS lines for a good price. I recently had him make up a set for my 86 Voyager. Can't remember his name but I'll find out and will post.

KPAX:
if the Raymond mentioned by Van Voyager is Raymond Chan in Scarborough then I can also recommend his product. 5 years ago I wanted to purchase in country due to shipping cost concerns and Raymond was the closest in Canada for me. He was very thorough to ensure I got exactly the correct fittings and angle of fittings. No regrets so far.
