Threaded Holes near Brake and Clutch Levers

Post by Dtown »

Hi, I'm an owner of a 2003 Voyager X!! and just noticed that there are threaded holes (covered by a cap) near the Clutch and Brake levers.
I'm assuming they can be used to add accessories (helmet post, cup holder, etc.?). Am I correct? If I am correct, does anyone know the thread pitch/size? I would like to add some posts so I can easily set my helmet(s) on them for temporary stops. If not correct, what are the threaded holes for?

Thanks in advance for your help!

That's where the mirrors go on bikes that don't have mirrors on the fairings. Mine has these cool posts for hanging helmets, jackets, etc. You can also use them to mount any kind of mirror-mount cup holder, accessory, whatever.

Thanks!!! Where can I get some cool posts to hang a jacket/helmet on?
I can’t seem to find anything doing general searches. Was considering making some posts if I knew the hole size/pitch/thread.

I have a Ram mount ball screwed into one of those holes (which were originally intended for mirrors).

I suggest Carl Leo - voygerparts@bellsouth.net if you want OEM posts. They are standard mirror mounting holes, so whatever an ordinary motorcycle mount uses, that's what these are.
