driver's floorboards

Would any of you know where I could purchase an OEM set of floorboards ?? Been watching the forums, Ebay, etc, and can't locate a pair. Thanks in advance for any comments. My Bike is a 2001.

.. why do I think you need the kit... I think the boards are lower, the
heel/toe shifter is different (I think), and I think the shifter will
be harder to find.... Best to Ya!!!!!

I hadn't considered the aspect of the shifter needing changed also. I assumed it would still be the same. Any input from others that have been through this ? Either changing TO floorboards, or AWAY from floorboards ?? Thanks in advance. Be safe out there.

... if you go to the AVA homepage and look at Tech Center, Voyager XII, look down the left side
for Floorboards-Driver, you can to the install instructions, should show you all...

IMHO, I think the floorboards are lower than the pegs, makes changing things
necessary... Best to Ya!!!!

I hated floorboards because they kept my feet too far apart. I like pegs way, way better.

I think the factory driver floorboards are maybe 1/4-1/2 inch higher. I like that I can more my feet all over the place. Years ago someone here was selling an accessory which turned a regular shift lever into a heel/toe. That's what I have. I never use the heel portion. With my foot on the board the shift lever is above my toes. Works fine for me. This also allows my feet to get closer to the engine. BTW the factory boards were made by Markland.

Yeah, my biggest complaint was that I couldn't put my foot between the heel and toe parts of the shifter. The XII heel/toe shifters are a lot shorter than, say, Harleys.

Also, mine was hard to shift; and I needed to stomp on the heel part. That turned out to be a loose clamp between the shift linkage and the transmission shaft. (I honestly don't get how a slightly loose connection could lead to that much difficulty. But it sure did.)

I also want to point out that the heel/toe shifter uses "opposite" linkage from the pegs (toe only) shifter. Both ends of the linkage are reversed so the two shifters still work the same -- unlike some extreme rearset mods. This complication apparently is to accommodate the higher floorboard position.

For my part, I like keeping my feet closer together. Barry found a work-around for the left side. For the brake side, I usually rode my heel on some part of the bracket or pedal; and the brake pedal is adjusted much higher for floorboards than for pegs. This made my feet even higher than just the floorboards; and I had less confidence in using the rear brake. So I prefer pegs also to give me more legroom; and I otherwise just carve better on pegs.

When droning, I also move my feet around, beyond even the floorboards. I use the highway pegs (flying squirrel ergos), but that can get pretty hard on my ass. For a stretch, I put my feet on the passenger floorboards (crotch-rocket ergos, sorta). For a serious drone, I often do one on one side and the other on the other, to give myself a twist-stretch. (God, those drone rides can be boring.)

As a final incentive I saved like a whole freekin' ounce of unnecessary weight getting rid of that little brake guard that you don't need with pegs.

Vive la différence. I'd give you my boards, shifter, and all -- except I already sold them.

I also did a work around on the rear brake pedal. I took a torch to it and bent it in 2 places. It is now down close the the floorboard. This definitely shortened up reaction time when it's needed most.
