Thermostat Replacement
Does anyone have a replacement or part number for an aftermarket thermostat for a 1994 Voyager? My local dealer wants $60 for the factory one.
Thanks
Thanks

They also carry a correct Radiator Cap (but these should also work):
NAPA 703-1695
Prestone RR-27
Stant 10227
Motrad T-13R
TVS 1-227B
Gates 31333
CST 7513
Balkamp 703-4773
CARQUEST 33028

Re: Thermostat Replacement
Thank you. I had read that in my search, but in haste I thought those part numbers were for radiator caps.

Re: Thermostat Replacement
I think they are. Did you find an aftermarket stat? Try giving NAPA a phone call to see what their number is.. Or get your T-STAT out and match it up. Are you shure that's the issue ?Freefalling wrote: ↑Wed Apr 08, 2020 9:05 pm Thank you. I had read that in my search, but in haste I thought those part numbers were for radiator caps.

Re: Thermostat Replacement
I went to NAPA today and found something that closely resembles what I found in my Bike. I am not sure that my thermostat has an issue other than it is 26 years old and when I put it in Boiling water it does not "Open" fully to 8mm that I believe the book says it should open to.
OK, here's my story. My bike has been out west twice with me from Florida. Then after one local ride, my riding buddy sold his bike moved away. Fast forward 15 years, I got tired of looking at my sad bike in the garage rotting away after I parked it and ignored it. I decided to put it back together. I spent 20-30 hours on this Great web sight just doing my homework. I put a parts list and price sheet together and decided to put her back on the road. First was to drain coolant which looked great except for a little discoloration .The coolant hoses weren't dry rotted, but when squeezed felt crusty inside. Then remove and boil out gas tank. Next, Carb rebuild. Fuel filter. Spark plugs. 3 Caliper rebuilds. 2 master cylinder rebuilds. Oil change. Battery. 3 days of cleaning and chrome polish. New tires. Looked at replacing the coolant hoses, but most were discontinued at the dealer. I got bike put together filled up with distilled water and radiator flush. What an awesome uneventful ride that lasted about an hour. Another hour ride the next day. Was thinking of draining flush but it got too late in the evening, I'll do it in the morning. Decided one more ride and I'll drain system. Ended up on interstate, and it was running great so I opened her up. Temp started creeping up. No problem, I'm running her hard. Keeps creeping up. Uh,oh... Next exit 6 miles. Hose from thermostat housing to radiator bursts. Tow home. Hoses feel nice and supple now. I waited too long to flush the flush and crud out of the system. With all hoses removed, I flushed out system real good with garden hose. Put a complete hose list together which I will post when job is done. Waiting for dealer parts to come in, (available hoses and o-rings). Are there any other parts I should look at replacing?

Re: Thermostat Replacement
The bike I currently have sat for 5 to 7 years before I rescued it. Did all the stuff you listed. It would start running hot only when riding 2 up and pulling a trailer. Turns out the radiator was partially plugged. There was no visible scale when looking inside it. I ended up replacing it. Working fine for 16 years and counting.
