Hello one and all! I am a new member and new to these forums as well. I purchased a 1988 Voyager XII a couple of weeks ago and am in the process of getting it ready for the road. It has been abused and neglected for quite some time, so it's a real project. The owner of this bike put a $1700 paint job on it as well as having the seat recovered. The rest of the bike was left untouched. There are, however, some hard to find parts that I am having a hard time finding. Here they are;
COVER,TRANSCEIVER PN/ 14024-1191 (flap-type covers on each side of lower fairing)
COVER PN/ 14024-1326 (trim ring around stereo that tuner cover attaches to)
COVER,TUNER PN/ 14024-1203 (tuner cover)
I have looked everywhere both online and offline but have not been able to find them. If anyone has any ideas or a direction to go please let me know.
As for myself, I was a lead mechanic for nearly a decade at a couple of dealerships way back in the 80's and 90's and have restored many a ride to it's former "glory". My most favored bike that I owned before it was stolen was a 1979 Kawasaki KZ1300. It had the Pacifico Aero fairing with lowers as well as the complete Vetter luggage set. (the grandfather of the Voyager, maybe?) My current bike is a stage 3 V-Rod. Not exactly a comfortable long distance machine. Hence the purchase of my current machine. I will be occasionally posting "how-to" guides for some of the lesser known tech projects that haven't been posted to these forums as I get to them on my own machine. (I still haven't named her yet, any ideas?) Meanwhile, if anyone knows exactly where I can find the above listed parts, please let me know!
Happy trails!
Kevin N.

Re: 1988 Voyager XII
Welcome to the AVA. I, and others I'm sure, look forward to some how to guides.
Unfortunately you are looking for 3 items no longer stocked by MawKaw in either the USA or Canada parts depots. The only way to find them is used on eBay occasionally or NOS from inventory sell offs, also usually on eBay as well.
Mr. Carl Leo may have something in his vast used inventory.

Lucky13 and I are also looking forward to your "how to "posts. Ebay is your best bet for the parts you are needing. Its surprising what comes up. As far as a name? Why not call her "Old Paint" like the horse!
