The wiring schematic I posted a link to on page 4 of the post "Starts normally, may or may not have lights" is the 1987 only schematic which shows why the fuel pump works as a primer.
As shown on the posted link, there is a Black wire, from the starter circuit relay, to Black/White internal connection in the harness at the point where the Black wire is illustrated as turning up to the Starter button. This is only 1986 and 1987.
So if one is diagnosing a post 1987 harness note that this internal transition connection to add a Bk/W wire to the Bk wire no longer takes place from Model B2 onwards. Instead the Bk/W going to the fuel pump connects directly and to the BK/W from the switched side of the Starter Circuit Relay. Most supplements show this after the 1987 schematic up to 1997 which is the latest supplement I have. I am sure it was continued through to the 99924-1089-61 last supplement for the 2003 model.
Just for everybody's records, slow evening.

There must be a name for this psycho-schematic condition you have.
(But I sure appreciate the information!)

Nails;
nice play on words. I got a good laugh from it.
