No, the bike will run fine without the radio installed. But rain water can get into an uncovered opening so perhaps a cardboard, duct tape covered...

The caps simply screw back onto the wire and only two of the exhaust pipes are active. The other two are dummies. Hope that helps...........Gator Mike
