Greetings All -
This weekend I started experiencing an intermittent problem with my cruise control. Running straight and level, it would suddenly drop out. That was the first symptom.
A little while later, it was possible to get the 'engaged' light to come on but as soon as I released the throttle, it would disengage. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced a similar problem.
My first thought is that there is something going on with the switch that detects when you manually override the cruise by closing the throttle (or at least I assume there is a switch involved). Any suggestions as to where to start looking and what I may need to take off to be able to get to wherever it is that I might need to get to will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Ohio Mike.

Re: Intermittent Cruise Control ??
Mike,
I assume you have removed the wire tie that is on the wiring harness on the frame under the faux tank cover. If that is the case, then start checking all the switches there a few, front brake, rear brake, down at the carbs...I would also do some searches on here there is plenty of discussion and some resolutions to this problem.
Good luck.
