Ride to Ripley 2010

Ripley, Tennessee ride is tentatively scheduled for the 2nd weekend in October. In other words, Saturday the 9th, give or take a day or two.

Informal meet and greet.
Women welcome (they smell nice).
This weekend is not about selling parts or working on bikes.
Mostly guys sitting around telling lies.
Nice Super 8 motel with awesome curvy road to Carl's place.
The BBQ Shop in Memphis.

Great news Chris, I missed this event last year. I plan on being there, it will be a bit of a ride but nothing a Voyager 12 and an old Voyager can't handle.

if i could get a rough number of people coming i will try to negotiate a better rate at the local motel and plan on enough food for the bbq on saturday. there is plenty of room for anyone wanting to camp, this gathering is from friday through sunday, thanks...

I would like to do the trip, but I think that is the weekend that my wife works, and after the money we spent on RAGBRAI and fixing the bike, we might skip this year. I will talk to the wife and go from there. I hope all that go have a great time.

Emily and I will be there, but can only stay for a short peroid of time...but some time is better than no time...call it a drive by visit with old and new friends..don't want to wear out our welcome. Will get a room at the motel for Fri night...be the first one's to Carls Sat. AM like last year. Head out to visit friends in Arkansas early Sat. PM again like last year. Marvel at the southern hospitality and thankful for the camaraderie with you all...like last year.

Just a little less then two weeks to Depart day for Carls and the BBQ. I've got my Voyager cleaned, Polished, Plugs changed. I'm ready, I want to ride some of those Tenn roads. Tire kicking for two days of just hanging with the guys. Carl do you have a motel lined up yet?

The motel to stay at is a Super 8. nice inexpensive rooms with free breakfast bar, going thru Ripley on the main drag, the motel is right on the corner as you turn onto the road that leads to Carl's place. Seems like his house was about 5 miles away.

Forgot to update...Emily and I will be driving the car down ..will see you on Friday, late afternoon, early evening and Sat AM. Then off to the State we love and dear friends we left in '05.
