I found mine in the Automotive area - bottom shelve and not easy to find. Not all Walmarts carry them.Kim In Illinois wrote:Can anyone give me more information on the Walmart Gel Seat Pad. I have been to Walmart and searched on Walmarts web site and cannot find it.

Re: Seat Cushion
My Walmart didn't have them for a long time but last week I found it. I bought one today for my three-week trip that starts next week. $19.95. Made in China, of course. It is not on the Walmart website. It will be in the automotive seat cushion/seat cover section if they have it.Kim In Illinois wrote:Can anyone give me more information on the Walmart Gel Seat Pad. It's rather large, about 17" wide and about 16" deep. If you unzip it, the inside "gel" looks like a black waffle. It is called "Gel Seat Cushion," made by Comfort Products, Inc. It doesn't come in a package, but has a cardboard thingy wrapped around it like this:
This is the website for the seat cushion at Comfort Products:

Re: Seat Cushion
I have seen them in three different Wal~Marts, they are just setting on a low shelf in/around the auto oil and filters area. I have two of them that were bought at a Canadian Tire (northern version of Western Auto) and mailed to me two years ago before Walmart picked them up. Don't think you'll find them on the site, just keep looking or ask at the store.

Re: Seat Cushion
Here is a review of five different seat pad cushions. Your experience with the reviewed pads may vary, but it will give you enough information to make an educated decision.

For my wife and I, the AirHawk just did not work, period. The wooden beads help a great deal, and now we are testing a sheepskin, both with, and without, the sheepskin. Tried both last Fall, will continue experimenting this Spring. Don't be afraid to try different solutions -- one type does not work for all. Cheers!

Re: Seat Cushion
Kim,
I was the one who started this thread and after reading the recommendations, bought mine from Walmart two days ago. It's a perfect fit for the Voyager seat and at 20 bucks, I think it can't be beat.
The cushion is called RelaxZen Gel Seat Cushion. The SKU# is 60-2865W. The barcode number is 46854 14287. In case you can't find it there, the info on the back says Distributed by Comfort Products, Inc, Memphis, TN, 800-971-4630, http://www.comfortproducts.net.
Hope this helps.

Re: Seat Cushion
OK. I bought one of those "gel" cushions on the way home from work. First of all, it looks like it is just waffled rubber. Don't see anything that would make me think there is "gel" in there. I put it on my truck seat and sat on it for the next 20 miles. I could feel all the little bumps caused by the waffles collapsing under me. I put it on the hard kitchen chair and sat on it. More comfortable than the hard chair, but could still feel the pressure points created by the waffles being folded down. It is going back to Walmart.
I sent my Ninja seat to Spencer at http://www.greatdaytoride.com and had the medical gel put in the seat. So much more comfortable.
Not every solution is for everyone. Thought I would give it a try. I also can't do those beads. Bicycle shorts with the chamois pad do increase the time I can spend between breaks.

Re: Seat Cushion
Thanks for all the info. I found one at my local Walmart. Can't wait to try it. Also picked up a motorcycle cover there. Will see if it fits on monday my day off. Hope to get the bike out of the shed and start working on it.

Re: Seat Cushion
If you bought the XL it should fit. Walmart has carried different covers over the years. The first one I got was a great sun cover but definitely had no water repellent. The last one I bought had no vents, but is waterproof. I got a couple Dust covers at a different walmart that work well for covering the bikes in the shop.Kim In Illinois wrote: Also picked up a motorcycle cover there.
