XII Floorboards

Hi all...
I would like to add floorboards and heel/toe shifter to my 02 XII.
I have tried the search function, and read through many posts , but I cant seem
to find one that says what fits and what doesn't,
or if there is a "do it yourself" solution and how to fabricate it.
any ideas, hints, tips, or directions would be much appreciated..

Put a wanted ad in the classifieds. I bet there are several who have them & would sell them. Call Carl Leo, he may have some or know who does. Or you can buy new, there are several after market brands..

My understand is that the floor boards are not manufactured by anybody anymore that fit the Voyager 1200. At times I have seen them on Ebay and folks parting out stuff on here and ABbikeboard but when they are they are pricey. Carl Leo might have a lead on some. My advice is to just be patient and keep looking.

Have you tried Carl? I bought a set of Kawasaki originals (used) from him in February. So far, though, I haven't been able to find a heel & toe shifter.

A friend told me that the floor boards and heel toe shifter wasn't very well liked by most Voyager riders for some reason. I really miss them from my old bike but haven't considered looking for them for the XII until I saw this post. Does anyone have any comments as to the usefulness or comfort of the floorboards or shifter?

I have the 'stock' floorboards and heel/toe shifter on one of my bikes and do not have them on my other bikes (three voyager 1200s). I want them on all three. I do not like riding the other bikes as well without the heel/toe shifter. I do not really like the brake side of the set up and will modify that at some point. Because the floorboards are so expensive, I am working on using the passenger floorboards for the front as well. At the same time of course I am working on a heel/toe shifter to go with it. I have not been able to work in the shop lately so it has been put off for a while. But I plan on finishing it the early part of this summer. I did modify the original heel/toe shifter so both the heel and toe can be adjusted independently.

I( am looking thru stuff a the swap meets to see if I can some how create one, pretty much got the floorboard idea nailed down , but the heal/toe isn't so easy matching the spline spline, shape and distance..

There are some heel shifters out there that attach to the toe shifter ,that work really well

I have a brand new set of Heel/Toe shifter, Carl has a nice used set from conversations we have had recently. no these things are not manufactured anymore, but If you are looking for it just give me a shout, if I do not have it Carl will probably have it.
