Rad Guard. Good Lookin Replacement.
My ZN1300 came without a Rad Guard so i've been searchin for one and all the ones i have found are Black, looks like Plastic ?.Searched E-Bay,as usual and came up with a Triumph Speed Triple Beowulf one in Stainless Steel, approx 14 X 8 inches and Boy does it look good,it has a nice solid strip in the middle as well so you could put Decals on it or even your Handle. just a bit of modification to the Brackets top and bottom to make it fit, only had to bend the bottom ones back and then slightly convex the bottom of the Guard, bend it inwards a little so it just squeezes over the bottom Rad lip and then it drops in a treat !The top two brackets need to be bent back slightly and then they snugly slide up behind the top rad bracket.Much nicer to look at than the black ones.Anyway, hope someone may find this tip usefull

that would be cool ...if you have trouble you might try one of the two Yahoo Voyager/Kaw sites...I uploaded mine there and many folks on this site are on those as well.

ha ha well bud that picture is about 35 years old (I was still on active duty and retired back in 88) ... ...that was my last bike. I wish my leg was down so you could see the engine and tranny...they were split and high polished...frame was dipped chrome as well...those were the good old days. you'll have to share with me how to embed pics into our messages

Hello again Lonnie.Done the pic's with Photo Bucket, when you sort out yer pic's and size them properly they end up with different codes as follows.
Email & IM.
Direct Link.
HTML code.
IMG Code.
When you Left Click on any of those it says Copied. So if you follow the guidelines ,How to Post a Photo in the forum it tells you where to paste that code after clicking on the IMG icon at the top in the options for your message. When you do a post or reply to a post, click the Img box then in the middle of what appears right click and select paste the Direct Link option in there.
I have found out that the IMG Code puts a link to click on,then you get the picture in another window. After experimenting i have found if you click on the Direct Link option for your picture it puts the picture in your post without having to click on a link.I do hope that you can follow this,if not please let me know and i will try to explain further.Hope it works for you.Best wishes Mate, wish we lived nearer to each other,be nice to meet :thmup:P.S. the cloud says, wish i was slim again !!

ha looks great man! good pic...yes to meet would be nice...I couldn't be further away being in the northern tip of the US in Seattle :) who knows...I've always wanted to visit the UK...trace family back to your homeland (Hamptons, Hurleys, Dobson) guess we came over in the 1500 to VA and settled there then moved down the coast and settled in Georgia.. most of my family on dads side are there...moms family are from OK and the Cherokee tribe I guess one of our family from the Hampton's side married into the tribe.. been to Germany, France and South East Asia with the Army...but that's different as you can understand. Work now for Boeing and maybe they will send me over on business how knows :) it a pleasure my friend

Re: Rad Guard. Good Lookin Replacement.
Got it off E-Bay Lonnie did a search for Rad Guards and all sorts of search variations and came across this one,the chap said it was off a Triumph Speed Triple,Beowulf,as you say it does look great, better than the Black Plastic, just hope it don't cause overheating, would'nt think so though, theres plenty of Air Holes in it.How you gettin on with Photo Bucket, done any pictures yet,i find it quite interesting on there meself.Did you find the Air Cleaner Cover yet, think the KZ1300 may be the same, not too sure though. All the best wishes Lonnie from Old Nyk.
