Squeaky Progressive 412,s

Post by VoyKimmer »

Installed Progressive 412 HD on my 02 this spring and now have an annoying squeak from the left one I know. Not sure about the right one. Suggestions Please. When I hit bumps or bounce up and down sitting still.

When you mounted them did you grease the mounts themselves?

Can you tell where on the shock the squeak is coming from? If it is the piston squeaking past the seal you could try some silicone spray on the piston shaft. It won't hurt the shock and might provide enough lubrication to stop it. If it is coming from the spring itself, I have no answers at present. I've experienced minor squeaking of bike suspension in the past on other motorcycles but they were never something I could hear while riding.
