Tape Adapter

Post by Skibou »

I've just received a cassette adapter which accepts an SD card, and plays in any cassette player. The item looks like a standard cassette, but is in fact an MP3 player, and comes complete with earphones, chargers (USB, 12v and 115v), and remote. Simply load your SD card, up to 8G, and insert it into the player. When the cassette/MP3 player is inserted into the Voyager tape player, the sound is excellent. The best part is that it is for sale on Amazon at $19.99. (If like me you're Canadian it'll cost you $29.00) I've not had it long enough to establish the quality, but at a cost of little more than a couple of tanks of gas, it's hard to beat. The only drawbacks that I see are that it will play only in the order of the tracks loaded on the card, and that you will have to remember to eject the unit and turn it off when you're through with it, or when you get off the bike, otherwise it will discharge. I can live with that.

I would love to have provided a photo, but, as a non computer geek, after over an hour wrestling with the labyrinthian procedures at photobucket, where the procedure in no way resembles the instructions on the forum, I've just given up. Sorry about that, but perhaps someone more computer literate can help, or you can find out more by googling "SD card cassette adapter".
