Progressive shocks

Does anyone know what the raise of the progressive shocks that i should get for my 95 xii. i want to change from the air shocks. Also the front what is the model number for the front shock.

No shocks on the front, but if you're asking what model of Progressive springs to use on the front, they're Progressive Part No. 11-1122.

Here is the order page for your bike, from Progressive Suspension's web site: http://www.progressivesuspension.com/pr ... odelID=458. You will want to replace the fork springs at the same time as the rear shocks. Go with the airless shocks -- freedom from air is a good thing. No air required in the front forks with the new springs, either -- remove the spacers! The spacers will compress the springs too tightly, and will cause severe issues in handling. Well maybe I was to clear on this matter but they have different sizes for the bike they have 12",12.5,13" I was wondering which size should I get an they have heavy duty an standard so what's best for the bike of course I want to get airless but the size is what I get stumped at. Blessed1277 are you from some country other than the U.S.A? It is really hard to understand what you are asking by your typing skills. Shock height would probably depend on the inseam size. I have short legs, I got the standard Progressive 412 shocks 12-1202B which is 13 inches long recommended by others on here. It did not raise the height of the bike over the original air shocks. Heavy duty is a stiffer spring but should not raise the height. I do not remember seeing different heights listed for the Voyager 1200 on their site. You might be looking at Progressive shock sizes for a different bike.

The Progressive 12 series are dampers only, you need to order (and install) springs separately. For the V-XII, order the 412 series, either standard (412-4213C) or HD (412-4221C.) All are 13". If most of your riding is 2-up with loaded bags, you may want the HD (Heavy Duty.)

The correct answer should have been ,13 inch for the rear (412-4213C) and the fork springs are Part No. 11-1122.
Most people hear go with the progressive shock/springs
I have heard some say the fork springs will raise the bike about an inch ,but I can't confirm that.

For the fork springs, the year matters. I found out the hard way.

The Progressive springs are wider for the '86 than the 87-03 models.

The front springs for the originators bike would be 11-1102.

11-1122 fits the '86 Voyager XII.

I don't know if you ordered the Progressive shocks yet, but I ordered a set of the 13" HD412's last month. The best price I found was from PowersportSuperstore.com at $ 207/pr. plus 12 s/h. I put them on last week...love 'em !! Much improved ride over the old air shocks on my '90 !

Was that with fresh oil in the stock shocks? To me, the stock shocks became quite nice with some fresh Dextron III. I'm planning to get the fork springs, but not convinced I need to fuss with the shocks.

... I can confirm the front Progressive fork springs will raise the
front end up!!! I was enough that I had to cut my shield again!!!
And it leans a noticeable bit more over on the kick stand!!!

Still can't get'er up on the center stand tho.... guess I don't have
enough gravel in my britches!!! GBG + sigh....
