Does the V 1700 have a center stand ? Does it come with cruise control ?

Unless the 2013 has changed, no center stand, just a left kickstand.

Cruise is standard and works well.

@ 2009, audio was radio (AM, FM, weather, and AUX, and intercom with 2 front speakers and an optional proprietary iPod connection to the AUX. No build-in CB or bluetooth. The wired intercom and radio requires propriatary wired front and rear helmet connectors.

Not sure if Kaw has upgraded the audio for 2013.

I don't know of any cruiser based bike that has a center stand. I probably has something to do with the lower stance. I have a motorcycle lift I use to perform routine maintenance.





The cruise control works flawlessly. You can bump up and down the speed just like a car cruise control, plus it can be used in the lower gears as well.

Yamaha Royal Star Venture has the spot to put a centerstand on it underneath and you can bolt one on (pretty sure from the old Venture Royale with minor mods). Aftermarket also sells one for the Royal Star Venture. Harley Davidson sells a centerstand for the Electra Glides that is called a show stand. Aftermarket also sells centerstands for the HD Bagger's (from Roadkings to Ultras). Moto Guzzi's come with centerstands as factory items. I don't know of any that cruisers that come with them as standard besides the Guzzi's. Ironically the Manufacturers are leaving them off other bikes and offering them as accessories. The Suzuki DL650 VStrom requires you to buy the centerstand , which 99% of riders do for a couple hundred bucks. Seems kind of silly that they leave these off , but it is also the changing of the ideal that many riders had as Generation X and beyond take over as Baby Boomers are no longer the target market for the manufacturers.
