bar grips for XII
I have been thinking of getting new hand grips and am curious if anyone has any input. How big of a draw back is it if the weights are removed from the end of handlebars? is there a noticable difference in vibration or handling?

No difference, you can always drill a hole in the end of your new grips and keep the bar end weights if you want.

I replaced the stockers with foam grips, no weights -- no difference noticed, and its been 2+ years so far. The foam grips absorb minor vibrations, and for touring, they are hard to beat. Had a set on my '79 CB750, toured 9 consecutive days on it. Never had an issue with my hands going numb/tingly the entire trip; same thing with the Voyager, never an issue with the hands. Won't ride without foam grips again. YMMV.
