Engine Vibration

Hey there, I have a 2011 Voyager 1700, When throttling up threw the gear it seams like there's a engine vibration. Has anyone else experienced this and if so is there a solution?

Hey Scott. Don't think you meant to post this in the travel section. Is what you are describing as vibration the power pulses from the single pin crank engine, or truly vibrations?

On my '10 Voyager, if I try to accelerate up a hill at too low an RPM I will get some heavy pulsing out of the engine, but if I keep the RPMs at 3000 - 3500 all is well.

There is a difference between power pulses and buzzy vibration. Buzzy vibration can occur on any bike from single to 6 cylinders. It is buzzy vibration that can put your fingers to sleep or numb your butt or feet. I have to wear winter leather gloves when I operate my Stilh line trimmer.

I have not ridden a bike yet where I don't feel anything at all. Even the 2010 Goldwing I test rode had a vibration. Even the Concours has a vibration at certain RPMs. Even the XII. Whether that vibration bothers you or not is the real question.

I've been riding since 1964, but I fail to see how this helps someone asking for help. Yeah, V-twins vibrate a lot, and differently under different conditions. High revers are notorious for putting your limbs to sleep, just a different frequency of vibration. Maybe we can simply assist this person in finding an answer to his question?

Mr Jensee. You have already made it known that you do not like V-twin engines. So, obviously I am going to take any comments you make regarding the Voyager 1700 as a form of bashing. Maybe you shouldn't be responding to questions about the Voyager 1700 because that just turns people off and whether you like it or not, the Voyager 1700 is the future of the AVA. Otherwise the AVA will die out with the XII.

Maybe if you think you're a comedian, you could try out your material on a joke forum. I'm sure this person was looking for a legitimate answer, on a respected forum, from a responsible person. You ain't it!
