We have just finished the first cutting of hay, giving an estimate of future cutting dates. This gives me a rough schedule of my work for the coming months, and it looks like Rally week is clear for me . I just reserved my room at Baymont Inn,and will send in my registration form tomorrow
Sounds good C.E..... my wife and I will also be staying at the baymont, I have been working on my trailer, It is now painted to color match the 2 tone grey of the "03", complete with the gold pinstripes and gold factory emblems and will be pulling it to the rally. This will be my first pull of any distance . All thats left to do is purchase some grey indoor outdoor type carpet to line the interior of the trailer..then I can put a period on that project, I have nearly a hundred hours of work into it , working nights and weekends,, Oh well ...thats what we do ! !
I look forward to meeting both of you at the Rally. I still have a few things to do on my Voyager before I leave. There are five of us heading to the rally from the west coast.

Sounds good DON,, ur 10 years older than me... I'm not sure I would ride all the way to CAL. If I did... I would be riding solo I doubt if my wife would stay on the bike that far ! but... what you guys got goin on with a group , sounds like fun !! god bless,,see ya at the rally !! tony
Tony, thanks for the info on the painting of your trailer. Looking forward to meeting you. We will be staying at the Madison. Don, it will be good to see you again this year. Wishing it was me riding as far again, God I do like to cross the states, and rack up 600 or so miles a day. From NJ to logan my bike will just be warming up. Its been the rainy season here in southern NJ . I picked a good time to change out the rear tire and clean the bike up a bit. Haven't seen a bike on the road for days. Marie will be riding from NJ with me this year. She hates the drive from the northeast on these roads here. We may leave early on the 5th and head down to West Virginia first and sightsee and head north to Logan from there. We will be pulling the trailer again this year. It done the trip to Utah and back, with only a blown seal on the right side of trailer from the slight near collision on the way home last year. If it had been a trailer wider than the bike it would have been toast. But lets not tell the wife..... My crystal ball shows good times for all;;; See ya'll at the Rally; Gene and Marie Kap.

We will see you in a few days. We will not be there until Monday night, 8 July. We hope to be there in time for the Monday night BBQ.
Everyone please have a safe ride. I recently had a military friend in a pretty serious wreck because the car driver did not see him. Lesson learned, we are all essentially invisible to the cage drivers (note: PPE was the difference between life and death with this crash).
This time, for the first time since Bowling Green in 2008, we will have a motorcycle with us too. (we had a rental car for Santa Fe, NM in 2009 and Kanab, UT in 2012).

Mary Jane and I will be leaving Sunday for Logan but will have to trailer the trike. Since Mary Jane was overcome by the heat in Utah last year she cannot tolerate riding when the temps get over 85 degrees . Since it is only a 300 mile drive for us we should be in Logan early afternoon on Sunday. We are looking forward to another fun family reunion, You all ride safe ------------ John And Mary Jane

Leaving tomorrow to go to Sanford Florida (home of the Zimmerman Trial, thankfully there was not an acquittal on Friday) to catch the Auto Train (I know, wimping it, but we have a 1,500+ mile ride home, including getting over to Logan OH but many stops with family and friends) . We will have lunch with Tim Miesel of the Sunshine State Voyagers and then will be in Lorton VA Monday morning with an eventual destination of Logan OH. We hope to be in Logan in time for dinner (but it will be close).
Ironically our route home takes us through Bowling Green, KY (not to be confused with Bowling Green OH) where both Marcia and I have family and friends.
We are looking forward to the bike hike over the Appalachian mountains on US 48 and US 50
See you soon.

Leaving West Bend, WI later this AM, about 5 or 6. I'll stop in Chicago for breakfast with friends, then on to Logan. May have some hangers-on with me. Should arrive early evening. I'll be camping at the KOA. See y'all there.
Tom
Hope to be on the road by 10:00am and chew up close to 400 miles of the 558 to Logan today

We are here in Logan at the Holiday Inn Express. Nice rooms on the 3rd floor overlooking the bikes in front. We ran into just a little rain on the way down from Indy. A lot of folks here already!
Got the bike all loaded up and hopefully everything's in order for the trip. I wasn't able to get off today so I hope to be heading out around 4am tomorrow morning. Good Lord willing, I should be in Logan by mid to late afternoon.
