thanks for the reply doc..... at the logan rally, I met a few mich voyager folks.... but they said they never go on the forum, so I did'nt know what response (if any) I might get... this bike has been advertised on c-list for a month at a low price....2500. no takers..... I test drove the bike after they GOT it started.... the worn out cam chain followers noise and other engine noise,, I backed off and made this post to try to gain more knowledge........ because we all know salesman are very truthful  ....

.....the recent post by "SUMO"..... TICK TICK TICK, describes the engine noises found on this post. The noises got louder and quieter at times, but never went away. Many guys checked out , and test rode this bike. When I was there ,the salesman would'nt come down on the price, saying "he had that much in it" As the weeks past, I kept watching this one on C-list. It eventually sold for $1900.00.,, Great discussions on this forum of guys throwin out ideas , from oil/filter selection, worn out alternator dampner rubbers, worn out cam chain followers& tensioner, bad lifters , exhaust gasket leaks, etc....all make for a noisy, but fixable voyager !......tony :-D
