Only happens when under load, pull clutch in, buzz goes away. Thought at first it was the ignition nacelle, but that's not it...now wife swears she hears it from underneath the back, in the area of the drive belt, but that does not make sense, because when I pull clutch in, bike is still rolling, but noise goes away.
Any one have this problem?

Just a thought, when you pull in the clutch, the belt, though the bike is still rolling, is no longer under "drive tension." That is, it's free rolling, not being pulled under tension from the engine.

Buzzes are hard to find. I had the chrome rings around the instruments buzz some. Also, if there is anything loose in the glove boxes or saddlebags.

Re: Buzz or rattle after long trip
The belts on Vtwin engines tend to be sometimes a little noisy sounding if they are a little out of alignment. I know on the Vulcan Voyager 1700 it has a slightly different belt noise sound to it , than the HD Ultra belt sound or the Road Star 1700 belt sound that I have heard of the bikes I've owned. I would check alignment and also see if there is anything in the guard area of the belt drive, Hard to figure it out without it being in front of me. Just the thoughts on this Sunday afternoon.

Re: Buzz or rattle after long trip
I found the source of my "BUZZ". It's the lower shutter. I put a 2-inch long piece of 3/4 by 3/4-inch heavy duty sticky-back foam under the shutter just in front of the pivot mount. This will push up on the shutter in open or closed positions
and keep it from BUZZING.
