Chokc cable...

Well, Friday morning chock cable snap on the bike, I still can star it but I have to keep the throttle to worm up ...How hard is to change one? I found a cable for $20.00 so if I can chanced it is not to bad .

It's really not too bad to change but use caution when you remove the choke adjuster from the handlebar. It has a plastic tab that goes into a hole on the bar so you will need to split the two pieces and lift the top straight up and the bottom straight down. I struggled for 15 minutes trying to twist it till I gave up and called Carl who advised NOT to twist it or the tab would be broken off. I was lucky to stop when I did. Eyeball the routing of the cable and if necessary make some notes or take some pics if you're not certain of the task. But all in all any one can do this.

If you look at your carbs you will see the end of a "slider" bar that works the choke. You can push that bar in to choke the bike with your finger as you start it, I did mine that way for awhile before I got cable from Carl, it's not real hard to change, when I did I cut the old cable at the grip end, taped the carb end to it very tightly ans pulled the new cable thru to the carbs using the old cable, just go slow.
