Still riding here in Indiana, never made it above freezing today. Will leave her parked for Thanksgiving, but will be back out the day after!

Backed the 1200 outside today to add 6 oz. of sea-foam and decided to take her out for 30 miles. Was a good 32 deg. but clear and sunny here in southern NJ... jersey gene

Just to rub it in we're having our summer here. Temp the last week has been in the mid 60s, the cold will start this coming week with temps dropping to the high 40s.

Cushman, as I recall, my Eagle had a magneto ignition, and also lighting. bad at night, because as you slowed down, the headlight would almost go out. You had to keep RPMs up just to see at night. Is yours still that way, or has it been modified to something else? I always wanted to change out the stator coils to three from a brit bike, (3 phase AC, then rectify it to dc to charge a battery, That thing was always hard to start!) so I could run regular lites and ignition. Never got the chance though.

Hey Don, took a ride up to freedom and had the new tire mounted. Weather felt about like 70 or high 60's.

Got in a 170 mile ride this past saturday. Temps were in the high 40s low 50s during the ride. Bright sunny day made it feel pleasant, and quality gear did its' job.

Hi, Hank43,My Cushman still has the magneto lighting, but I added a rectifier to charge a 6 volt battery for consistent lighting. It still uses one of the three coils for ignition. The problem I have is the flywheel hub came loose from the flywheel throwing the point timing off from the phase of the magnet, making for almost impossible starting.I have sent the flywheel to someone advertising in the Cushman club magazine who repairs the problem.I hope when I get it back it starts reliably. There are electric start kits available which convert them to breakerless ignition, which my be the way to go.

Really nice riding now in Central Tx. Mostly lows in the 40s but it warms up during the day. July/August is when we park the bike do the maintaince everyone in the North does in the winter. Can ride year round if your don't mind the heat.

I did the Toys for Tots ride in Chicago this past Sunday with temps in the 30s with 20,000 bikes. I am still riding, and the temps will be droping into the 20s for a high the next couple of days.My Gerbing gear is working great. However, this could be it for a while, we’re expecting snow Sunday. :cry2:

While we're stuck reading about it those Florida boys are out riding. Otherwise some would be on here boasting right about now!
Can't say I'd blame them either!
