oil site glass

hi all ,new to the site today .just pic'd up an 86 1200 . looking for the oil check glass. please help, griffer.

Left side, right above the kickstand. Put it on the centerstand and let it sit overnight. Then check it.

When changing oil, refill with 3qts 22oz after draining BOTH drain plugs and filter, then forget about the site glass, it will flat lie to you.

Hi griffersZ1,
I was also told to use a torque wrench on both the drain plugs and oil filter bolt. Careful do
not over tighten, As the good people cautioned me before I changed my bikes oil for the first time!
