Bulbs... What goes where?
I want to convert what I can to LED but I don't have the bike here to pull the old ones out. I think the brake light is an 1157. Is there a chart somewhere that tells me what bulbs go where? I'm primarily interested in tail, turn, and other marker lights. Sorry for the simple question but I'm a little handicapped with the bike 80 miles away. I'd like to go ahead and order the LED's so I have them when I get it back. Any help is appreciated!

Re: Bulbs... What goes where?
I replaced my front turns with some amber 48 LED bulbs I found on Ebay today. They look great! I was worried about them fitting as they are longer than the standard bulb but no problem. I replaced the brake lights with some 24(I think) LED red bulbs. They are OK, I may try to brighten up the backend a little. I like to be seen
Some additional lights, maybe an LED light bar and a BACK OFF modulator. Anyway the front turns are a definite improvement.
Now if it would just warm up a little I'd go for a ride! Even though my inspection is two years out of date

Re: Bulbs... What goes where?
Stupid question of the day . I didn't notice when I first got the bike if the turn signals were on all the time and only blinked when activated. Since I have installed the LED's that's how mine operate. Is this correct? Or should they be off and only illuminate and blink when activated? I have not added an LED flasher, could this be related?

Not a stupid question the front turn lights should be on all the time.Muleears wrote:Stupid question of the day . You will have to install a electronic flasher for the turn signals to flash proper but that's not your problem. The running lights circuit is separate from the turn lights circuit (should be 1157 double contact bulbs)
That said when I put LED bulbs in the front of both my voyagers the running lights would not light or lit vary dim, I checked voltage, polarity and the sockets, hooked the sockets up to the battery and the bulbs would light but in the light circuit they don't. couldn't find the reason so I ended up leaving them regular bulbs.
The LED's worked everywhere else.
If anybody can shed some light on this problem I would like to know why that is
