I wanted to do that about two years ago but couldn't get anyone to go with me! I would be interested but I can't go until late April as I'm preparing income taxes to fund my trip to Asheville in July. I know that's moving into the "hot" season but if that works. . . . and there are at least three of us, I could meet you near the border.

Mexico would be the last place in the world I would travel to.

What v55 said. The only thing I lost in Mexico, I was glad to be rid of & wouldn't want it back. Besides, I read the news.

Scary on the surface until you get down to the details. Other than Tijuana, Ensenada, and, to a lesser extent, Mexicali, there are no advisories for Baja. IF I were to go, I'd cross at Tecate in the early morning with plans to be well south of Ensenada before evening.

There is a American motorcyclist that just went missing in Mexico this week. Had to be escorted thru a couple of towns and then just disappeared. Not a trace.. Not my idea of a place to go and I have been to Mexico years ago and it was a fantastic place to travel but no more.

There is Mexico and there is Baja. In either event, it is foolish to travel alone down there which is why I wouldn't go in a group smaller than four. And I'd consider only Baja. But then I wouldn't go to NY City alone either.

I've been to Mexico twice, several years ago. Tijuana both times. One thing I did learn is most vehicle insurance is NOT valid in Mexico. So if you go, be sure your bike insurance is!
