Ive seen that style on some of the Harley's they norm put things like sunglasses and cell phones in them, dont seem to hold very much

It's a Harley style bag. It "pinches" down between the windshield and fairing to mount, I do not see how it would work on a XII, if you do want to find a bag look for magnetic latch system not Velcro, the velcro ones are hard to open and close while riding, the magnetic ones are much easier to use. As said above, they don't hold much, just a cell and maybe your keys or a pack of smokes.
