Re: Most popular bike states

Curious on what the actual owner numbers are for each state, not just registered bikes per capita. Many people I know have multiple bikes. I myself have four and am thinking about a fifth.

Re: Most popular bike states
What really amazes me is that the first 10 states are cold weather states. If you look at warm weather states like Texas, Louisana & Mississippi they are at the bottom. I live in Louisiana where we ride 12 months a year but the summers are really really hot so maybe that has something to do with it. Dunno.......Gator Mike

Re: Most popular bike states
So, how would you like to have an entire state to ride in with only 12 other people in it? Or, perhaps you'd prefer California?debron wrote:That's because there are only 12 people in SD!! (Except during Sturgis!)Tat2demon wrote:SD No.1! S No.1! We win!

I enjoy both! I've ridden in SW and south SD and many places in California. Both have many great rides!Turbo4x4 wrote:So, how would you like to have an entire state to ride in with only 12 other people in it? Re: Most popular bike states
Wow! Talk about skewed surveys! California is the most populous state in the union, with over 37 million, then Texas, then New York. Note, there are 800,000 plus motorcycles in California, way more than any other state.debron wrote:I enjoy both! I've ridden in SW and south SD and many places in California. I lived and rode in California for 32 years. I truly understand the tremendous stress you're under, so here's my RX; come to South Dakota, cruise our beautiful Black Hills, kick back on our great rural roads, explore the hundreds of small towns that dot the countryside, and you can throw away your Xanax

I do remember traveling thru SD and noticing that just like Nebraska (Omaha to Lincoln) you can actually see the curvature of the earth effect because it is so flat.Turbo4x4 wrote:

Actually, it has been over 30yrs since i was in SD so maybe it has gotten more wrinkles from age, I know I have.

Kidding aside, The Blackhills are a must see and ride and I do love the people i have known over the years. I am hoping (just hoping for now) that my summer will include SD this year. I have an invite to minister at Sturgis (I need to confirm that here real soon), although I am afraid I would spend more time looking at the bikes (not blind, just not safe for my health to oggle anything else as my wife would be with me).

I wonder if they let Voyagers into the Burnout contest>

Oh well, Progressives should be in today, so need to go out and finish prepping the bike.
Later,
Ken
