MARKETING WORKED

Post by Lucasind »

.....I met a guy from Canada at last years rally in Logan, He had some cool lookin "floor board" highway pegs on his XII. After the rally, when we got home I checked some of them out on amazon, but did not place a order. ... Well, recently I ordered the voltmeter, and got one of those "amazon pop-ups" reminding me that at one time,I looked at these........ :Cball ....... YES  , I fell prey to the marketing and clicked on the purchase. Just before last year's rally I went thru my many cabinets of motorcycle stuff, and found and installed these "moldy oldies" from the early 80's, a bit rusty and crusty , but after a clean-up with a wire brush and steel wool, they went on the bike, and have been on there since.Image

So after work I pull up in my driveway and see this box sittin on the front porch., of course I didn't want to go out in the garage ,and start up the heaters again, but I did. Opened the box and here's what I got.Image

After removing the old and installing the new ,I really like the appearance of the NEW ! you hate to respond to the un-ending bombardment of ADS that we are subjected to ,all day, everyday, but, "ya gotta pay,if yur gonna play"

anyway, here is a look at the install, I gotta go to bed, I have a flywheel to change out on a 40 year old Yale forklift in the morning, to pay for all this stuff  Image

cheers.......................................tony :-D

Those are an Emgo product. Installed a pair on my Honda back around 2008, transferred them to my Voyager in 2010. They're a solid product, much easier on the feet than pegs. Very affordable for floorboards. You will enjoy them on tours as you can move your feet around a bit, and they won't press into your arches like the pegs. Cheers!

Wow, those are huge floorboards. I'm sure they will be comfortable and make it easier to move the feet around on them, but I would say to watch your cornering clearance with these. It will probably cut down on that pretty good possibly. I have Marvellas drivers boards on mine, but they are not as wide, and I mounted them with a mount that moves them higher. No problems yet in corners and I lean it pretty good too.

I know most if not all driver boards fold, I was just referring to them dragging sooner because of the width. Ground up edges don't look as good.
