Dyna Beads How Much ?

I bought some Dyna Beads I'm going to try for balancing my tires when I get a new pair.. Read a lot of good feedback from people using them. My front tire cupped way to soon using weights, so I'm trying the beads

Anyhoo--I have several small bags, but I'm not sure how many ounces go in each tire? Think the rear would take more than the front?

The dyna bead website has that info. I'm pretty sure it's 2oz for the rear and 1 1/2 or 2 oz for the front. If 1 1/2 is the recommendation then 2 won't hurt.

I have dyna beads and really like them. They can be a little wobbly at low speeds before they get distributed.

I put 2 ounces in front a month before Logan Rally last summer. E3 has worn very well. I am planning on going darkside in a couple of months, was told 3 ounces for that, 2 ounces if sticking with MC tire.

Changed my wife's rear tire last summer and I believe 2oz was right for it (size like our front). Too many better than too few.
Oh and I used the filler tube and shot them in with a low pressure burst of air and it worked great. Shaking them in works, but much slower.
I think my kit came with a one ounce bottle that I filled twice - made measuring easier.
Anyway, she picked up a chunk of steel wire in that tire that punctured the inner tube and time was such that I had it replaced at a shop - they balanced it. i think I will add back in the beads as they don't care about tire wear, whereas the weights should be adjusted over the life of the tire (read that somewhere, or just my opinion).
My tires were replaced a few months ago, maybe i better add some to them also.

I didn't see that info on their site. And Their website says nothing about a Voyager 1200. Thought I'd check here with people who have used the beads. Sorry I asked!

I'm sure Ron's intentions were sincere and he was only trying to be helpful. By the other responses provided he was spot on I would say. And I didn't see anywhere that he indicated the website referred to a Voyager XII.
We need to remember that folks are here to HELP one another. Some times the replies we get my not be what we expected or not as clear as one would like but the intentions are still (hopefully) sincere.
I have not used them but intend to once I flip my rear tire from MT to CT as I will be doing this myself in my garage. No tire changing equipment, no balancer, just me and beads!
I openly accept any and all replies when I post a request/question. You never know who will spark an idea for a better way.

Depending on the width, 1-3 oz. Don't know the XII's tire width, sorry. Had to poke around a bit, to find the information on their web site -- not the most user-friendly. Cheers!

On my 88, I used 2oz in the front, 3 in the rear car tire, rode smooth.

I reread my post and I guess i wasn't clear. My "wife's" bike is a 97 Vulcan so 2oz in the rear (the tire I changed) doesn't apply. Sorry for the lack of clarity.
The info about what worked to put the beads in was from someone else and that really did help with the installation (low pressure air puffed against the filler tube). I used a blower nozzle that had a rubber tip to gently blow the beads in after I had filled the filler hose. Repeated the process till the amount required was in the tire.

I checked and found some Dyna Beads for $20, enough to balance two tires. Here is a less expensive alternative, if interested: link.

Air Soft BB's will do the same thing; they do come in different weights, so shop carefully, as the heavier BB's will be better than the lighter ones (fewer needed to achieve balance so the jug should last longer) -- use the same weight of BB's, as per Dyna Beads. They can be used in car and truck tires, as well. Cheers!

How many ounces are being recommended for the Voyager? I have been told two ounces will do but three will provide insurance. Is there any amount we should not go beyond?

The correct amount of ounces is based on the tire size, not the actual model of motorcycle. 2 ounces is recommended for both front and rear tire of voyager xii. If running a car tire on the rear it suggested to go to 3 ounces.
I purchased mine from Rocky Mountain ATV I got the starter kit plus additional refill bags. The bottle with the tube worked very easy getting beads in thru the valve stem. I have 90 degree valve stems and was no problem.
Sure was nice to be able to change tire in the garage and ride away with a perfectly balanced tire.
