Bending the fuel rod a little worked, when the gauge got between the red mark and the peg it had 195 miles on it, when I filled up 5 miles later, it took 4.8 gal. I like that. Grounding the wire did make the red light come on with the bike running. I ordered a new unit, I agree with RON, that's what the gauge is for, fix it. I like Ron's idea about when you are ridding with other riders, I've never been the one begging to stop and get gas. Thanks everyone !!!!! I need to learn how to put these little faces on here, another day!!
