Some of you may remember that I had taken my motor out of my XII a while back and split the crankcase to fix a broken starter chain tensioner. I then sent my carbs off for a fresh rebuild by Carl Leo. Well about the time they arrived to his house he was lying on a gurney having quadruple bypass heart surgery.
Well anyway he recently felt well enough to clean my carb set up and dial them in for me. I received the carbs yesterday and installed them today. All I can say is my bike now runs WONDERFUL. No more rattling noise coming from the broken tensioner, carbs all dialed in my XII runs and sounds better than it ever has since purchasing it a few years back.
The one constant throughout this project was Carl's unwavering support. I asked him for help and told him that I would lean on him hard and most likely would be pestering him with questions from A-Z. Well he kept his word and did in fact answer and guide me through this from start till finish. I owe him so much more than his carb rebuild fee. I owe him all the respect and gratitude that I can possibly give for he truly is the "MAN" when it comes to all things Voyager and deserves all the credit he gets. I can honestly say that this project most likely would not have happened without his guarantee of support. So Carl, I know your out there, let me tell you, I can't thank you enough for all the support you have given me throughout this project. Your knowledge of these fabulous bikes is irreplaceable and downright incredible. Hopefully I can pass on some things I've learned from you.
Thank You
Brad

Carl is the the best for sure. He went thru my bike, including carbs, just before he moved to Florida. Two hours later down the road when I lost a fuel pump (probably because I let tank get to low) Carl was there with a replacement, and a trailer in case it was a bigger problem. Just last weekend got a set of brake pads in the mail. Great guy, great service!

Re: Thank You Carl Leo
There is a still a rare breed of individual who will go above and beyond for his fellow man and Carl is a wonderful example of that breed. His love for what he does and his willingness to share it make the world a better place, at least for us Voyager XII lovers.

I hope to have the honor of meeting him someday. I've only belonged to this forum for a short time, just picked up a 96 anniversary edition back in Nov of 13. But every place I look on this site I see his name mentioned , we are fortunate to have someone with so much knowledge posting here. I wish him a speedy recovery. Sincerely , Robert B.

Re: Thank You Carl Leo
Lori and I have had the great pleasure of meeting Carl a few times now, once right before he moved down here to Florida during Bike Week in Daytona, once in the Sunshine State Voyagers Welcome Carl to Florida ride, once just because Lori and I was riding by on our way to St. Petersburg on a weekend get-a-way and he came down to our wedding. He is even a better man in person to be around, if anyone gets the chance to meet him, you won't be disappointed.
