Was wondering if the cb was standard on the 2000 voyager xii can anyone tell me?

CB was optional.

From what I understand the CB was to be standard from whatever year the price jumped like $2000.00 I think around 1996 but a lot of dealers did not install them.
They were shipped separate from the bike and were dealer installed.
There not hard to install just a little expensive usually when you find one there in the $300.00 to $400.00 range used, sometimes you can find a NOS $400.00 and up.
When they were sold new at the dealer they were around $1200.00

Is a CB really necessary these days? I know truckers still use it but with cellphones and blutooth its kind of an old school item in my mind.

Maybe not necessary but handy when riding with a group.

CB was standard on the 1996 10th Anniversary Model. Dealer's were supposed to install them on these models, but some did not and sold the CB's later to other buyers.
