Re: Whats standard?
From what I understand the CB was to be standard from whatever year the price jumped like $2000.00 I think around 1996 but a lot of dealers did not install them.
They were shipped separate from the bike and were dealer installed.
There not hard to install just a little expensive usually when you find one there in the $300.00 to $400.00 range used, sometimes you can find a NOS $400.00 and up.
When they were sold new at the dealer they were around $1200.00

Re: Whats standard?
Is a CB really necessary these days? I know truckers still use it but with cellphones and blutooth its kind of an old school item in my mind.

Maybe not necessary but handy when riding with a group.Tonyvdb wrote:Is a CB really necessary these days? I know truckers still use it but with cellphones and blutooth its kind of an old school item in my mind.

Re: Whats standard?
CB was standard on the 1996 10th Anniversary Model. Dealer's were supposed to install them on these models, but some did not and sold the CB's later to other buyers.
