When I saw this Honda it brought back many memories of my youth. It is what got me interested in electronics, and mechanics, I remember looking at the selenium rectifier and wanting so bad to know what the hell it was, how it worked , what it was made from , and how it kept the battery from going dead. Back then we had to go to a ( Library ) to ( read a book ) .

Imagine that , books instead of a smart phone. So 60's , Got my first lesson in welding from a neighbors father welding a rack for the bike so I could pack it for camping. We all worked on our own bikes and we were never indoors, Unless you were sick you were out the door. Got any rotary valve engines in your collection ?

I'm glad to hear ,the shirt "fits like a glove" I only order XL..... and that seems to be a hit with ALL that wears them !I'm told by half of my clients.....that their wives grab em and wear em as night shirts ! and ask for another one cause they're NOT gettin the first one BACK !

DUDE ! ! (your kinda DATING yourself now ! !).....You know I have been a forklift mechanic for a LONG time now.... and am pleasantly surprised , when I respond to a service call and SEE one ! ! I own many lifts and still have a 74 Hyster w/one under the hood , and has NEVER failed to start !
As for your mention of " LIBRARY " ........I had the greatest dad ever, who taught me from the git go.... to read up on what your about to do...BEFORE...you do it !

Your other mention of "being indoors" back in the 60's, that was my mothers ONLY way of punishment, for me ! We were outdoors , "hands on all day,everyday.
and perhaps.... that's why today's youth,don't know what end of a screwdriver to hold on to !!! They sit in front of a video game TOO MUCH !!
The 65 S has been semi cleaned now...... Not much will happen to her this year of 2014,,,, but got runnin......... then it will be taken into my basement workshop ( because of it's small size ) and be completely disassembled ,
cleaned , and made to look as good as it can without spendin alot of $$$ on it !
In the summer of 2015 it will emerge ,from the sub-level of my home, lookin a whole lot different ! guess I'm gettin a bit long winded here .......
