Do You Have A Custom Seat?

Post by voyager55 »

What brand of seat do you have & how do you like your custom seat? Was it Worth the money etc?
Would you buy it again if you could start over?

I have a Russell Day Long Leather Seat. Spendy, but comfortable. I'd buy it again.

We also use Russell Day Long seats. Yes expensive, but worth it if you want a comfortable seat. I should have gotten one few years before I did. I like the velour with vinyl on the outside or non seating areas, cooler and more comfortable. However, you should cover them during washing or rainy days.

I also have a Corbin custom made seat on my trike, love it! Heated so on long cold trips, we can stay toasty warm.

Have had Russell Daylong on the Beemers and also on my 95 Voyager XII, and Mayer saddle also. Pricey, but worth every penny compared to the stock saddle in comfort.

We trade positions, so if we got the seat to fit one, it would not fit the other. We use other options, though: wooden bead cover for me, sheepskin, and a knobby air seat cushion intended for use when sewing (similar in concept to the AirHawk, but only cost us around $30). All help out, but not ideal. Still, better than stock. Cheers!
