Parts needed....

Post by Hip001 »

Hey guys,
I'm in need of some parts for my 1986. I have a broken choke cable and also need a float needle(the little spring loaded pin on back side of the float needle is stuck).

With Carl recovering is there a good source for me to get these?

Thanks,
Mark

I believe you can get the parts you need at kawasakipartshouse.com. You might have to specify a different year to look up the part but I think they are all the same on the Voyager through 2002 or 2003 not sure.

When you look for the choke cable on the parts diagram, it is listed as "cable, starter."

I just replaced the choke cable on my '86. It is a pretty simple and straightforward job. I found it easier to hook the cable into the lever on the handlebar before trying to hook into the carbs.

Thanks guys! I ended up supporting one of the local Kawasaki dealers and ordered 4 carb kits and the starter cable(which was cheaper than the kawasaikpartshouse online) I've been working on it as time permits but now have gas leaking from somewhere between the middle two carbs. I'm hoping its a split fuel line but have not verified this. I have short periods of progress between rain storms and work. I'm looking forward to having this running again
