Frt shocks
Hello, I have a question about the front shocks on my 95 Voyager. I read that they take about 7lbs of air in general but when I try and add air to the system it escapes before I can un-screw the hand pump. I own a very nice Harley-Davidson analog hand pump made just for shocks. It works great on the rear, I can put in 25lbs plus or minus 1 or 2 without a problem. Even after I remove it and check it with a separate push-on air gauge it will show no loss. I owned a 78 GS 1000 Suzuki many years ago and it had front air shocks and they seemed to fill without a problem. I also notice it only takes about 1 pump to reach 8 to 10 lbs, not much volume there in the front ones, it takes quite a few for the rear. How do I fill the front and not lose pressure when I remove the pump. Any thoughts on this, is something damaged on the front air shocks or is this all normal and I'm doing something wrong? Thanks for your time, Robert Beers

Re: Frt shocks
You're using to large of a pump. You need a little tiny hand pump or you'll blow the seals.
Instead of buying that---
Put in Progressive Suspension fork springs. Improves the ride & they don't require any air.
They're pretty cheap to, around $80

Re: Frt shocks
If your losing that much pressure just unscrewing the pump you probably have a bad seal.Either that or someone has already installed the Progressives and left the air lines attached.
