tail lights help
Can anyone tell me how to change the tail light bulbs on the trunk? I looked in the owners manual repair manual and supplemental but no info! I removed the bottom 3 screws I thought the lense would just drop!but no! FYI I I have the oem chrome rails that wrap around the trunk! Thanks in advance Rob!

Re: tail lights help
I had to change a bulb at last year's rally in Logan and it was pretty easy. I don't remember the details but you get at the bulbs from inside the trunk. I think there are two bolts and whole cover over the lights comes off. My trunk is full of "stuff" right now as I still haven't "cleaned up" from the trip to Asheville so I can't really check it.

Re: tail lights help
You will have to first remove the chrome rail around that light. Then on the inside of the trunk you will find at least two (maybe four, can't remember now) bolts that you will need to remove. This allows the trip trunk light to separate from the trunk. You will then see where you need to "unscrew" the light sockets from the back of the light to get at the bulbs. You cannot remove the lens as you found out with those screws on the lens. The lens is actually glued onto the light frame.

Re: tail lights help
There are 4 10mm bolts that hold the light unit in.
inside the trunk there are 2 on the top and 2 in the front.
I am not sure but you should be able to drop the light down without taking the chrome off.
Be careful not to drop or bang the light they brake or crack easy and they are not cheep to replace.

Re: tail lights help
thanks I did as you say the lense just dropped out I used some masking tape on the light so it wouldn't hit the garage floor! But to get it back up there with the chrome rails was a pain but Its done!
