Front Wheel Sending Unit

Hi Folks,
It appears that my front wheel sending unit has gone bad. The cable is good and the speedometer passes the drill motor test. I have searched the forum trying to find someone that has replaced this unit but had no luck. I'm certain that I can replace it easily enough, but am not sure where to find one. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Well, I've been doing more research and found this at Kawasaki Parts:

qty: 1 @ $58.70

Ken, your post wasn't premature! It just proved that you were serious and continued your search instead of setting back and waiting. I've done the same thing.
Mine went bad last summer and I got a result one from Carl Leo (the Voyager's best friend and master mechanic). He sent me one and I returned the broken one so he could rebuild it and have it ready for the next person in need.

Verify it is the cable drive unit. Twice I have had the drive coupler that is in the wheel be the culprit. But usually can't see which is which until you pull the wheel off. But Carl will be your best for parts and advice.

Sometimes it's easier to get parts than you might expect. My local Kawasaki dealer got me one in about two days. If I remember right it was about $80.00.
